Golfers keen to test drive Bear Mountain Resort's Nicklaus designed Valley Course now have three combinations of 18 holes to experience.

As a preview to the Valley course's grand opening in June 2009, golfers may choose to add to the experience of playing the resort's critically acclaimed Mountain course, but mixing it up a bit.  In addition to playing the Mountain course's 18 holes, they can choose to start at the Mountain course's 10th tee and continue onto the Valley course to play holes 1 through 4 and 14 through 18.  Another option is to begin play on the Valley course's 1st tee and continue onto the front 9 of the Mountain course after they have completed the 9 Valley holes.  Vancouver Island residents get a "step up" with a special rate of $99.00 per 18 holes.

"We had such avid interest in the Valley course from our members and regular golfers, we thought we would give them a test drive of the first nine holes and a bit of an advantage over their out of town friends who will be coming here to play once the full 18 holes are open" says Bear Mountain Resort Golf Pro, Steven MacPherson.

While offering the same breathtaking scenery and challenge of the Mountain course, Bear Mountain's Valley course was designed to offer a complementary golf experience, adding to the experience of playing at one of Western Canada's top golf destinations.  Once complete, it will make Bear Mountain Resort the first and only resort in Canada to offer 36 holes of Nicklaus design golf.

Local golfers can book their tee times by calling 250-744-BEAR and more information can be found at www.bearmountain.ca, including a 3D golf guide of all of the Valley Course's 18 holes.
